Creatively Made Home (Home for the Holidays) Giveaway

Hello to all of my sweet friends!

I am so excited to share some wonderful news and an awesome giveaway.

Two summers ago I met a lovely lady, her two precious daughters and her delightful mother.  The cool thing about meeting these ladies was that they only lived about an hour away from me and they both had blogs.  When I met these ladies, I knew we would be friends.  I also knew they were both very talented.

For today, I want to focus on Andrea from Keeping it Cozy.

This may sound so corny, but when I met Andrea, I knew she was special.  Not only was she beautiful, she was also lovely.  Does that make any sense at all?  I soon discovered by following her blog posts that she had a great style and had major talents in many areas.  I knew it wouldn’t take long for her to get “discovered”. Can I just say that I was right?

I was right.  Everyone has fallen in love with her.

So this is the deal…

Andrea contacted me and asked me if I would do her a favor?  Uhhh…yes…I will do her a favor….anything for this sweet friend.

Andrea has been asked by Jeanne Oliver to be a part of her amazing e-course, Creatively Made Home (Home for the Holidays).  I am thrilled for her!!  She so deserves this opportunity!!

Let me share with you what Andrea says about the course..

“This course will be full of ideas, beauty, inspiration, joy and encouragement…it’s about sharing the warmth of your home with family and friends.  It’s about creating beauty in little things, opening your home with hospitality, and welcoming others into the love of your family.  It’s about so much more than the contents of your home-it’s about the contents of your heart.”

Okay…doesn’t that sound wonderful?

Now take a look at the other amazingly talented ladies that will  be joining Andrea in this e-course…

What a gorgeous group of ladies who want to share their gifts and talents with us.

Are you as excited as I am?

Another School Year in the Dining Room

Hey friends!

Keith is home.

School has begun…at least a modified version because we are fixing to leave for a beach vacation!

Can I just shout out loud about that last sentence?

The one about the beach vacation.

Did I mention that all of us will be together?

Woo hoo and woo hoo.

Now back to the school part.

Faith and I do school in the dining room, the living room, her room…really all over the house.  The main place is in the dining room.  That’s where I keep our books for that school year and it’s where I have hung this new treasure that I bought from my uncle.

Totally in love.

Yes, it’s great for me to look at but it’s also very practical for our schooling.

Whether it’s used for school or just random notes to my family, I will use this baby a whole lot.

I love words!

I love having messages, scriptures, reminders…one word or many words, it doesn’t matter.

Words in a school room are great.

Words in a dining room/school room are great.

A high school diploma earned by Miss Elizabeth Greene in the year 1898 adorns one of our walls.

A simple wooden cross made by my oldest daughter needs no words.  It speaks volumes to our family.

So thankful for another year to teach my girl.  Love being able to teach her at home.

As for our other two homeschoolers…they are now both college students.

Linking up at Timewashed.

****Adding this note***

I will be hosting an exciting and (cozy) giveaway coming up within the next few days.  Come back and check it out later.

Almost Time

After twelve long weeks, my sweet boy is coming home.

On Sunday, we will go pick him up from the Christian camp he has been working at.

It has been a quick but a long summer.

Does that make any sense?

I have been so very busy.

I have been preoccupied.

I have been MIA from blogging.

I have missed my blogging buddies, but I have been working on nurturing other relationships that needed a little nurturing.

sofa 1

Why am I showing you my sofa on a blog post that has nothing to do with sofas?

I have no idea…I just knew I needed a photo.

I am spending extra time on that sofa right now while reading history and science to my now 5th grade homeschooler.

Really praying right now for God to fill me with His wisdom in all things He wants me to do.  I want to be led by His Spirit and not by my flesh.   Thanks for letting me share my heart’s desire with you all.

Blessings friends.
