Thank You Thank You Thank You!
I cannot thank you all enough for making my first day as an Etsy shop owner FABULOUS!
I have to tell you that I was so nervous when I activated all of my merchandise yesterday morning and put it out for all the world to see. It felt like the first time that I ever posted a blog…so unsure.
But, I have to say that I thought my first day of business was a great success.
Let me define success for me…
I define success as being what I hope God wanted it to be. I define it as feeling like I have done something as unto Him. I define it as having prayed about it and feeling a peace about the outcome.
So, I have to say yesterday was a success. I gave my little shop to Him again yesterday as I began activating each little item. And, I believe the Bible when it says that if I dedicate my plans to Him, they will succeed.
I pray that He is glorified in all I do, even on my junking expeditions!
(sorry this is so long. will you stay with me a little bit longer)

I have to say thank you to one specific person who has answered more questions and given me more help than a person should ever have to do especially when she doesn’t even know me.
THANK YOU to Julie at Saltbox Treasures!!!
She is fantastic!
She also has a wonderful blog and a beautiful Etsy shop!

It’s amazing how many people on here have told me that they were praying for me and for my shop. Thank you so much for your prayers. I believe in praying about everything and I love that you all would pray along with me. I have made some amazing friends on here!

One more thank you and then I am done.
Thank you to the most wonderful son in the whole wide world. Without him, I would never have opened this shop.
Keith encouraged me months ago to jump on board this Etsy wagon. I strongly and firmly said no way! But he, being the encourager that he is with his mom and being a little stubborn, persisted. I finally saw his vision and took his advice and now here we are.
He has been with me every step of the way helping me along.
Thank you buddy. I LOVE YOU!!

(last thing)
I would love for you to continue to check back with my shop and see the new treasures that I will be adding often.
I actually went flea marketing today and found some really neat things that I will be adding soon.
I would also love it if you would tell your friends about Amys All Things Home Etsy Shop.

(thanks for staying with me through this awfully long post)

Opening Up Shop…Today!
The day has finally come that I am opening shop.
I have prayed…
I have planned…
I have prepared…
I have hunted…
I have purchased…
I have photographed…
I have described…
I have priced…
And now…
I am opening my doors!
Amys All Things Home Etsy shop is finally open!
I would love for you to come over and take a look at what I have stocked my shelves with and see if there is something that you can’t live without.
I hope you enjoy your time at my little shop and hope you will come back often to see what new treasures I will be adding.
If you like what you see, I would so appreciate if you would tell your friends about me.

Early Spring Happenings Around Here and an Etsy Update
Wednesday, March 16, 2011
I Said I Wouldn’t But I Did
I said I wouldn’t use another fake flower in my house because…well…they are fake, and I just don’t care for fake flowers. That’s just a purely personal opinion for my own home. Please, no offense to anyone who uses them, okay?
Maybe I don’t like them because they always get dusty and I forget to dust them.
Anyway…because I have so desperately wanted spring to get here and I didn’t want to have to continue to buy fresh flowers right now, I decided to take the plunge and buy a sweet little bouquet of white tulips that were NOT REAL.
You wanna know something…I think they look pretty. No, they are not real, and no they do not have a sweet fragrance, but they are helping me hold out as I wait for my fresh flowers to start blooming around our yard.
These are sitting on my coffee table next to a new favorite book I ordered off Amazon.
Besides my dreaming of sunshine, I am also dreaming of someday owning a beautiful old white farmhouse.
A girl can dream, right?

Twine and a Crochet Needle
I have to show you something!
Ok, that’s the first one.
Now, let me show you another.
This wonderfully shabby chic bag was made for me by a totally amazing young lady named Shannon from Below the Plateau.
Shannon is a homeschool senior who is incredibly gifted by God in so many ways and my life has been enriched greatly by getting to know her over the last few years. This girl loves the Lord and truly seeks to serve Him.
Ok, can I show you one more picture?
This picture is the one that humbles me every time that I see it.
Do you see the name?
Yep, that’s me.
This sweet child named this great shabby bag after me. Needless to say, I was beyond excited that someone would do something so sweet for me.
Can you imagine how that blessed my heart?
The other great thing about this bag is that she is making them available on her Etsy shop and I would love for you to go over and just take a quick look around when you have a few minutes.

I sure hope you all had a beautiful spring day today like we did here in Tennessee.
