Simple Spring

With Spring’s arrival, I have pulled out all of my blue bottles and gathered them together on my great old farm table.    I have washed up some new to me ironstone pieces and placed them on my buffet that once sat in my grandparent’s home.  I bought my first bouquet of white tulips and placed them in a perfect blue ball jar.

Together, all of these simple touches, bring the subtle beauty of spring into our dining room in a fresh and cheerful way.

A Collection Of Mine

Hey my friends.

I love collections of things.

I love the way things look all grouped together and the impact they make in a space.

Seltzer bottles are a favorite collection all gathered together in this French fruit crate.

I pray abundant blessings for you this day.

Kitchen Table Vignette

I wanted to say a big thank you to a friend of mine, Beth Swanson Lewis, from Olde Tyme Marketplace.  I first met Beth at the City Farmhouse Barn Sale in October and then got to spend a little more time with her a few weeks ago at another City Farmhouse Sale in Nashville at the fairgrounds.

Beth had some great pieces in her gorgeously styled booth, but one piece in particular had to come back home with me.

This crate (for lack of a better way to describe it) is a perfect piece to use around the house.  It corralled décor books on my coffee table for a while, but has now made it’s way to my kitchen table.  I love it in the kitchen.

A simple wooden crate equals big, beautiful possibilities.

Be blessed my friends.

Visiting and Shopping

Hey friends.  It’s been awhile.  Boy, do I hope life is treating you all just wonderfully.

I just had to share real quickly about a wonderful visit I just had with my Sisterfriend  Becky from Buckets of Burlap.  My girls and I just traveled to Louisiana to spend some time with their precious family.

me and becky

While in Louisiana, Becky took me to some of her favorite shopping/picking places so I could buy for the shop I am working with.  What fun I had picking the “just right” things to bring back to Tennessee to fill some of the shelves at High Cotton.

Take a look at just a few of the things I brought back…

A  few of these items stayed in Louisiana and a few of them will remain with me for awhile, however the majority went to the shop.  Some things I just can’t part with.

Can I just tell you how much fun it is to buy for me and for High Cotton?

Living my dream…

Blessings to you all
