Almost Time

After twelve long weeks, my sweet boy is coming home.

On Sunday, we will go pick him up from the Christian camp he has been working at.

It has been a quick but a long summer.

Does that make any sense?

I have been so very busy.

I have been preoccupied.

I have been MIA from blogging.

I have missed my blogging buddies, but I have been working on nurturing other relationships that needed a little nurturing.

sofa 1

Why am I showing you my sofa on a blog post that has nothing to do with sofas?

I have no idea…I just knew I needed a photo.

I am spending extra time on that sofa right now while reading history and science to my now 5th grade homeschooler.

Really praying right now for God to fill me with His wisdom in all things He wants me to do.  I want to be led by His Spirit and not by my flesh.   Thanks for letting me share my heart’s desire with you all.

Blessings friends.

Amy,
Welcome Back to your son!!!
I know he's ready for a little R&R. . .and Moma's Home Cooking!!! All to well, I remember Church Camp food! Ha!
Your thoughts remind me of a typical Mother/Teacher as Summer comes to an end and School is about to be in Session, once again.
At our Worship Service on Sunday, we lift up those who are Teachers, Staff, Support Staff. . .every helm of School Personnel along with Students and Parents. During our prayers, I'll be whispering your name, dear friend!!! Blessings!
Fondly,
Pat

Good to hear from you, Amy and I know what you mean about Summer. I try to spend quality time with the kids before they head back to school, so busy times around here as well.

I'm sure you will be so excited to see your son. Mine is away with his Grandpa and Dad antelope hunting right now. Hope he has luck since these tags are few and far between and he was so lucky to even draw it at age 17.

Enjoy the rest of your Summer:-)

xoxo

Hi Amy! I've been missing you! I know, however, that in real life people, family and relationships have to be priority.

I like the photo :) I have two sofas in the exact same color, little different styling (nail-head trim)and am trying to figure out how to redecorate the main family room around them. love your blog

I always love to hear when bloggers take time away from their blog to focus on family, friendships, or whatever else may need attention. Blogging can be all consuming if we're not careful.
Beautiful photo, BTW! Love how you have that whole area around your comfy sofa styled!!

LOL about needing a photo! I'm giggling about that. I'm also grinning with maternal recognition at your heart in welcoming home you son and joining you in a big "Welcome Home" shout out.

BTW, you asked in an email if I had asked Denise to pray about the project of my heart. The answer is yes. (Not a yes from God yet but a yes about the praying.)

Summer is so busy - blogging is the last thing on my list of things to do. I bet you missed your son so much. Happy rest of the summer and we'll catch up more in the fall. :)

I'm so glad you finally got your boy back!! I know it's hard to be away from your family for so long. It does seem like a quick but long summer, doesn't it? And I can't believe summer is already over...and your little one is in 5th grade!! Crazy!
I love your photo of the sofa :)
And like you, blogging has taken a back seat for me too...family, friends, and fun come first :) Sending hugs

Oh my goodness, I'll bet you are beside yourself with glee right now, hugging your son! I think that's great that you took some time away...family should always be a priority. I've been kind of doing the same this summer. xo

What a beautiful vintage chalkboard. Now, this oldie but goodie will grace your home, and continue with messages of learning and ambition! Beautiful green color, too!
