Finishing Up and Getting Ready

Big things are happening around our home.

Our middle child is graduating after twelve years of homeschooling!

Her graduation ceremony is in two weeks with a big bonfire celebration in our backyard afterwards.

She will be going to prom tomorrow night.

Our oldest child is preparing to leave for twelve weeks to work at a Christian camp in Andrews, NC.  He leaves two days after she graduates.

We are finishing up4th grade school work with our youngest and really ready to be out for the summer.

Overload is what it seems like around here.  Good overload, but overload none the less.

Finishing school…

Getting the house ready inside for guests…

Getting the outside ready for guests…

Buying prom dresses, getting fingernails done, getting “pretty” preparations made…

Feeling some of the stress of finals week coming up for our college student…

Beginning prep stuff for his summer away….

Did I say a little overload…yep…a little…

My focus right now, as it always should be, is…God, Family, Friends….

I will be in and out of blogging for a few weeks.

Please pray for us (me) as we continue to move through this month.

Chat again soon.

Hi Amy. Life is definitely a little overwhelming at times. Sometimes I think there's just too much stuff - even if it's all good. :)

Loving your music today.

Busy, but it sounds like your kids are going to be having lots of fun and that's gotta make mama smile. Is that a weeping willow tree in your backyard? I love those trees! We had them in my childhood yard and they were so fun to play under and swing on their branches. I got all nostalgic looking at that photo. :)

You do have a lot of milestones going on! But as you said, it's all good even though it's all coming at one time. I'm sure you'll take one day at a time and be sure to enjoy all the moments of celebration and change.

Dear Amy,
Sweet blessings and time to slow down, take a deep breath and soak it all in! What a delightful time in life you have going on. The children grow up so fast that I think we need to stop for just a moment and freeze frame it all.
Grandma here....thinking the same thing about the grandchildren and marriage.

God bless,

Dear Amy, the blessings of family life are good and sometimes keep you busy. We brought CC home from her apartment yesterday and it took all day but I am happy to have her here. Happy Friday, Olive

I'm sure you feel as if you're in the final countdown, but take a moment to enjoy the process of Prom and Graduation!!! Hug your Fourth Grader, too!
Prayers coming your way!!!

I can hardly believe you have ANOTHER one graduating! It seems like just yesterday that your son was at that point. I know you're proud, but at the same time, I know a mother's heart. I know it because I have one too.

May EVERY moment be blessed.

I know what you mean about overload.....why is Spring always so busy with kids' activities? My son went to his first Prom last Saturday and had a blast. Two more track meets this week and my youngest is busy getting ready for her dance recital coming up in June. All this and I'm trying to get ready for The Farm Chicks show....Wow, I'm tired just typing it all..haha!

Good luck with everything!
