Hi sweet friends!
What a nice and much needed break from my computer for the last couple of weeks. Sometimes I just need to free myself from facebook, blogs, and emails.
I sure hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and fabulous New Year.
For me, the start of a new year always brings cleaning out, organizing, and moving around.
Time for change and refreshing.
While going through some old magazines the other day, I found a quote that I love. I read it out loud to my family and even wrote it down for them to see. I need them to know why I do what I do.
I bet most of you can appreciate these words…
Do those words speak true for you as well?
I so fall in love with my home all over again with just a few changes here and there.
For me, change is a good thing. It keeps things interesting.
See you soon…
Blessings!

Amy so glad you enjoyed your time with your family.Today my husband went back to work and my daughter is still off of school until Monday is having a sleep over with a girl she has known since she was a baby! They don't see each other enough because we live an hour a way.So happy she has time with a good friend!
Yes this is a good time to clean things out.I will be doing that too and starting some projects as well.Wish I had time to start on my daughters room since she will be out.

I so love this saying. I have to go right away and write it on my chalkboard. It still has my Christmas writing on it and was wondering what to put on there next. Thanks so much for sharing.

Amy,
I so~o~o totally agree!!!
I am such a hopeless romantic that I love every inch of my home! I am so~o~o grateful that "Mr. Ed" decided he needed me home with him and let me retire several years ahead of schedule!!!
Thanks you for this sweet post, dear friend!!! Sometimes, we need a little affirmation!

I am glad I am not the only one who is in love with her home. As I sit at the dining room table on my laptop, I am looking across to a favorite table and a little ladder holding books.
i love your simple bench with the numbered tins.
So, so true!! I also add that I'm a nester and this is what nesters do. Making a house a sanctuary...that always needs changing! :-)

That quote speaks my heart perfectly. Actually, I have found that Blog Land has made me fall in love with my house all over again. I love it. I have a whole new attitude about it. It's not perfect, but then, it's not finished yet. It never will be!
oh yes, I agree, plus I get tired of things and need something "new" to look at! Great quote, I know that some people just don't get the whole "decorating" thing!
Great reminder! Yes, this is very true!!! I just added you to my blogroll! I don't know why I did not do this a long time ago!
I love the beginning of the new year and the whole process of freshening up too. xo

Great quote - our families do appreciate the creative things we do. My kids are huge home bodies - I give myself credit for making our home all comfy-like. :) They will remember the feeling of being in a home that as loved. Don't you think? Happy New Year!
I love this quote, Amy! It does speak volumes about why we love decorating like we do :)
Great idea to write it on the chalkboard door. Loving all your fresh changes!
Miss you all!

Hi Amy....what a great post this is....so true it is the small little changes that make us feel good...yours are stunning as always..I love your style!! xoxo
Hi Amy, I saw this quote at Common Ground and had to hop over. I love it and find it to be so true for me as well. As I read the first of your post it sounded just like a post I did last week. I too get in the organizing mood after Christmas. I was going through old magazines and found a fun Winter quote that I put on my chalkboard. The similarities made me smile. Happy to be a new follower.
Hugs,
Jann
