A Simple Cozy Corner in the Kitchen

Hi friends!

How are you?  Me, I am great.

I spent most of my day today deep cleaning our house.

The sun came out and showed me my dirt.  Yes, just being real.

After I clean, I either want people to come for a visit or I take pictures.   Since no one was coming over, the camera came out.

Are you like that as well?

Let me show you our cozy and simple eating area in our kitchen.

No fuss…nothing fancy…just simple and easy for me to look at.

table 1

A beautiful vintage bread board brought back from a trip to Texas.  The lady I bought it from said her German mother used to serve open faced sandwiches on one just like this.   Sounded great to me…

table 2

Stacks of wooden bowls, ironstone, a little crock, and fresh flowers…all are good things.

shelves 1

Shelves full of locker baskets are a really good thing.

A cozy corner for our family dinners…

I pray you are having a wonderful week.

Girlie, you never cease to amaze me. I love your every nook and cranny. The galvanized scale is incredible. Maybe I've seen it before, but I don't remember if I did. Just caught my eye this time. The fresh linen table cloth is lovely. The little crock is just adorable with the flowers in there. I do need to change some things up but just haven't had it in me since I went to work. I miss my time in the AM with a good cup of coffee and my Bible:( Soon, soon.

That centerpiece with the bread board and all the bowls is just perfect to me. I love things like that, and it fits your kitchen like a glove.

I was trying to think of the word that I would use to describe the area in these pictures, from the windows and shelf to the table. I would like to say homey, but it's more than that. I have settled on charming.

(And in answer to the first part: Yes. After a deep clean, I either want to have folks over or take a picture. )

Hi Amy, I saw your cozy corner featured at Coastal Charm. I love everything about it! Especially the vintage scale and locker baskets. I have been deep cleaning also. Now wondering why? We are finishing our basement and I'm getting lots of dust. Oh well, guess I'll do it again in a couple of months. lol!

The sun always shows the fingerprints on my white cabinets too lol. Your eating area is pretty and has so many interesting pieces. I especially like the white cabinet with the locker baskets. You always blend painted pieces, wood tones and metal so well.
