A Cozy Day

Another beautiful day we are having in Tennessee.

The sun is shining bright.

The temperature is 46 degrees outside.

I still have on my comfy pjs because I can teach school in pajamas.  How wonderful!

I got up this morning and took a few photos in our entryway.

wreath 1

I made this wreath during craft time with my girls this week.  What fun it was to make these simple little flowers.

We love working on Christmas and winter crafts this time of year.

I have been buying these beautiful plaid scarves from Goodwill when I find them.

I had to show you a close up of what’s on top of my stack of books.  My grandfather chewed Red Man tobacco for years and years and years.  His “chaw” he called it.  When I found this Red Man belt buckle, I had to get it in memory of him.

The little sweater cozy is from the sleeve of an old sweater of mine.

Love how the sweater warms up the candle and how the candle warms up the entry way.

Cozy days indeed…

Blessings to you all.

Amy, I love those plaid scarves in the little chair by the front door. I save them too. I have my husband's and some of his sister's from their childhood. They didn't want them and I could not bear to see them go. Love the itchy wool and plaid. Your home is looking beautiful.

I love that wreath and the flowers on it, Amy. It is really pretty. I need to make one! :-) I made home-made minestrone soup and cornbread today as it is freezing cold, windy and super cloudy here today. Hugs.

I have been on the hunt for vintage flannel as well, but never thought to check the scarves at Goodwill - thanks for the idea! Brilliant!

Amy,
What a precious wreath idea! I, too, need to get busy with some Christmas stockings for our dining room. Now that the Master bedroom is nearing completion, perhaps I can begin. The thing that always holds me back ...I HAVE TO USE MY SEWING MACHINE!!! Breathe deep, exhale!!!
Teaching school in your pj's??? Hm~m~m. . .that might have kept me from retiring early!!! Ha!
Fondly,
Pat
