Hey friends! It’s almost Friday and we have big weekend plans. What about you? Anything big planned?
I have to tell you about a blog that I am in love with. Her style is beautiful, yet simply stated. Do you ever just feel peaceful when you look at some of the beautiful photographs on other people’s blogs? That’s how I feel when I see her rooms.
The blog I am referring to is The Apothecary Shop and it is a must see if you haven’t already.
A big reason I am bringing up Chrissy’s blog tonight is because I took one of her beautiful ideas and tried to make it work for me as well.
***Let me just say that her wall of paper is so much prettier than mine, but I still love mine.
For my bedroom wall, I used a beautifully aged, worn and torn Prairie Farmer Magazine that I found at the flea market this summer. I love old magazines and their great articles and advertisements and I LOVE having this on my wall to look at.
See what I did…
Look at these gorgeous pages! Are they as pretty to you as they are to me or am I a weird lady?
I love this page with the picture of Jesus so it takes the main spot.
I included the truck ads so my husband wouldn’t mind magazine pages on his bedroom wall.
Butterflies and ladies clothing were a perfect choice.
I just have to tell you that I am loving this. Even if some of the accessories change, I’m thinking that the magazine pages will be staying for a while. To me, they make a great statement.
The chair you see in the picture was my grandmother’s and has been in our family for a lot of years. I love that it’s in our home now.
Now I have shown you what I did with my wall, I wish you would take a minute and go visit the beautiful Apothecary Shop and tell Chrissy that Amy said hey.
Hope you come back soon for another visit. Blessings…

I love what you have done, Amy! It looks fantastic and perfect with your wall color! Love Chrissy's blog, too. She has a great eye for what works so simply.
Very well done!!

Hello Amy!
I don't think you are weird at all! The old magazine pages look beautiful on your wall, and I love their tattered and worn look! :) And the whole room is so cute how you have it decorated, by the way! You are so talented at putting everything together and making it look amazing! :)
I hope your Friday is a wonderful one! Have a beautiful weekend! :)
Blessings,
Jenni
That's a really clever idea. I like the last picture the best, where you stepped back and got the big picture.
There's really no limit to the ideas you could get from this one post.
I love it! What a great idea. I also love the washbasin below. Have a great weekend Amy

I so love some old magazines that I have, I would have to consider something like this.
I specially love the advertisements.
Thanks for sharing.

Amy - YOU KNOW I'm going to read something that is entitled Prairie Farmer magazine. LOVE THIS!! Who would have thunk it. It looks wonderful. Do you just have it hanging by tape (or is that a decorating taboo?) My most treasured picture is of my dad sitting in his favorite chair reading his Prairie Farmer ~ a subscription MUST for farmers back in the day, although your pages looks like they predated anything we would have had sitting around. Loved! this post. Hey, you probably have already shared but what is the color of bedroom. Very pretty and soothing.
What a charming idea! I am now following you via Linky!
Looks very cool Amy, that color on the walls LOVE.... what's the name of it? Please
Pattie
Perfect with that wall color.
Amy,
Great creative use of a vintage magazine! I agree, the photo of Jesus struck me ,as well! I remember looking through The Caper's Weekly with my beloved Mother ~in ~law and looking at the patterns! Nice post!
Fondly,
Pat
