Hey my friends! I hope you all had a great weekend and that your upcoming week is amazing!
While doing a little moving around this weekend, I noticed a real pattern in my home decorating.
I love old wood…white or natural…I love it. The older the better.
I love metal…rusty, galvanized, weathered, new…whatever…I just like metal.
I love white dishes…again, the older the better. And, I love the crazing on the old dishes. Beautiful!
I also love textiles. They don’t have to be old. I just like the softness that fabric adds to a hard piece of wood or metal.
Do I need to even tell you how much I love the combination of all of the above elements?
I’ll show you more of my favorite combinations in the next few days.
I found a great old galvanized cooler back during the summer that now sits atop my white jelly cabinet holding beautiful dried hydrangeas.
I also pulled out a great old metal dish drainer and filled it with white vintage dishes. Love it!
Will show you those later…okay. Hope you will come back by for another visit.
Blessings, friends.
Oh, and happy early Valentine’s Day!

All your combinations look so pretty. I have very little white, but I can admire yours.

Hey my sis :) I love all these things too...metal, wood, white, and textiles-my favorites. I love all your little additions to the kitchen cabinet. The wooden bowls are lovely! I especially like the basket with the bucket in it.
You have some really great things!!
Love & miss ya
Beautiful photos of your lovely things!!
It's a charming grouping. I love old charm.
I love so many of the same elements. I realized not too many years ago that my fixation with stone and iron comes from my mom. She has always loved it. Back in the the day, her style was called "Early American". It's more traditional now, but she still loves her stone and brass.
And my fixation with white dishes is possibly becoming nauseating. LOL I really love them.
Hey Girl! It's all gorgeous!! Love all of the same things...just haven't incorporated as much into my decor. I find myself needing to purge...even though my home is a tad minimal anyway. Weird!
Love and hugs to you! Hope all is well with you and yours!
Things here are sooo busy, and good! Had the whole fam over for burritos last night. We laughed and laughed over some old photos. Too much fun!!
Have a lovely week, dear one!
