The Table In the Corner

Hey Ladies…

(and gentleman if any of you are reading this)

Everything Christmasy is put away until next year and my house seems cleaner and fresher.   What a great feeling to have everything put away.

I am trying to keep a wintry feel in our house and am using pinecones, fluffy blankets, candles, and old lanterns in most of the rooms.

Today was a play day.  Yes, I know that you know what I mean.  I love playing around in my house and I know that you do too.

This  little corner table in my dining room needed a little attention after losing its Christmas décor.    I want an uncluttered, easy look.

Our dining room table is where we sit to do our school work and eat a lot of our family meals so I like things in this room to be easy on the eyes.

I think I have told you before that my dining room is my favorite room in my house.  I just have a good feeling when I am in there.

Do you have a favorite room or a favorite spot in your house?

I do have a few corners I like in my home. I completely understand how you want to have places of simplicity.
I hope you have a great week,
Kathy

I love your decorations Amy, especially the blue canning jars in the metal basket.

I feel the same way after taking my Christmas decorations down. I love the clean look for January!

Take care,
Pam

Hello Amy! I am happy that you could have a play day! {And I do know exactly what you mean when you say this! I call it "playing house"!} ;) But seriously, it is the most fun thing! And you have done a beautiful job on your winter fluffing! I love the wire basket of blue jars with pinecones and dried hydrangeas, and your ideas of how to keep a wintry feel to your home. :)

I hope your night and Wednesday are wonderful!

Blessings,
Jenni

Looks great. The pinecones are a great addition. Now I'm wishing I hadn't packed mine away with the Christmas stuff. Never thought to keep them out for the winter months.

I love the basket with the books, it's simple and cute. The shutter is awesome!

I'm relieved to have my decorations put away, too, but I have been a little slow in arranging much else...just enjoying the non~cluttered look for awhile!!

XO,
Jane

So pretty, Amy! I think the entire blogging community is craving the uncluttered, clean, airy look in their homes. I love it. It creates such a calm feeling throughout. Beautiful job! :) My fav room is my living room.

I'm another one who is striving for clutter free. Actually, I just decided not to put anything up or out that I don't love.

I'm also leaving stuff like pine cones out. I like them. Plus, when you live in a piney stick forest, you have an abundance of plenty.

Girl, you know I love your uncluttered, easy style! Those gorgeous ball jars as the centerpiece is fab! My favorite is still that awesome Pottery Barn table runner :)

I love your favorite spot. I too have a favorite spot. It's my daughter's room-turned my room. You can look it up on my blog. It is painted in blush pink and decorated with my favorite white pieces of fenton hobnail. Hope you'll visit sometime.
