Mason Jars At a Party

The party is over and we had a great time.

I think the birthday girl (she just turned 50) felt special and that was my main concern.

Just wanted to show you the simple little thing I did with our drinking glasses for the evening.

Instead of plastic cups with names written in permanent markers, which is totally fine by the way, I chose to go a little different route.

Remember the picture I showed you the other day…

This is what I did with all of this to make it a little more fun and special…

jars 1

How simple it was to take tags from my already tea stained stash and just stamp everyone’s names on them.  They already had the string on them and they slipped around the mouth of the jar just perfectly.

jars 2

jars fruit

We had lemonade, raspberry lemonade, raspberry tea and water.  There were no 2 ltr soda bottles anywhere because I wanted it to all look pretty.  And, you know as well as I do that soda bottles just are not pretty.  Smile

See how simple my little project here was.

Try it for one of your parties and just see how everyone loves seeing their names in print.

I’ll show you a few more party favorites  later.

Our desserts were scrumptiously made by both of my daughters and I want you to see them next.

Have a truly blessed day today.  This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!!!

Great idea! I love the idea of not having the 2 liter bottles out. They are ugly. :)

Your tags are so cute! Nice work.

Have a great day!

Amy - that is the cutest idea for a party! You are a regular Martha Stewart, aren't you? lol! Those drinks look so very refreshing - which I imagine you really needed if it was as hot down there as it was up here! Whew!!! :) We escaped to the lake to cruise on our pontoon for the afternoon. Hope you stayed cool, too!

Oh Amy, it all looked amazing! The jars are so much cuter with the tags and straws. I love the fruit and the way you had it all set up. I'm certain everyone enjoyed the party decor. What a great job you all did preparing! Can't wait to see more.

The mason jar for glasses idea goes back a long ways. I never forget one Sunday afternoon thirty years ago visiting an elderly couple on their farm in rural MO. They served us tea from pint sized mason jars and popped a big bowl of popcorn for us to snack on.
Their "picnic" table was a big wooden wire spool w/old metal chairs around it.
I glad to see this all "revived".
I have to say your drinks look a lot more refreshing than the tea!
Cute tags too.

I love the idea of using those tags on the drinks. I may have to steal that idea.

WOW! How very pretty! I use the IKEA glass bottles with stoppers and put pop into them and if we are making our own Italian cream sodas I put the mineral water right into the pretty glass bottles. SO.MUCH.PRETTIER! I have also used recycles lemonade bottles with the stoppers. They make everything look pretty!

Thank you for stopping by my blog!

Your blog is so refreshing! I really enjoy it!
