Flea Market Finds

I had another great trip to the Nashville Flea this passed week.  I actually got to go twice.  WOO HOO!!

I really didn’t buy very much this time, but did find a few pretty cool things I wanted to show you.

flea 1

I found this awesome letter K that had been cut from some really neat tin.

flea 2

The sunlight hitting it makes it look a lot more bronzy gold than what it is.

I thought I would show you around the corner from the K for a quick second.  I have had the little slate board for a long time, and my mom had it a long time before that.  I added a few little things to hang it with to soften it up just a bit.

I got this great ammo box to use in my kitchen.  Got this great idea from somewhere to use a crate similar to this to hold cooking utensils, but I can’t remember whose blog I saw it on.  Sorry…

flea 5

Love the color, love the handle, love it all.

I don’t think I ever showed you my little cart I bought a few months back.  This is the neatest thing to take to the flea market.  I can just load her up and off I go.

I only showed you a couple of things today of what I bought.

I am going to be showing you a few more things later and one thing in particular I want to ask your opinion on.  I have made a change on something and want to show you the  before and after.  You will have to tell me which way you like best.

Did you notice my larger photos?

What do you think?

You got some really cool stuff!!! I love the ammo box. I bought me a little vintage looking cart like that a couple of months ago. I think I'm going to make a linen liner for it. I wanted to use it as a wastebasket but it was to big for the spot where I wanted to place it.

You always come home with great stuff and do great things with it all.

Amy- I love your K...and I love your little slate too. I used to paint on those and sell them or give them as gifts. I kept a couple and put them out for Fall and Christmas. And..that cart is a great idea. I wish I had one myself. Hugs- Diana

Hi Amy,
I just love all your new finds. That crusty K is great and your little chalkboard is so sweet.
I wouldn't mind finding one of those old shopping carts myself....it will hold lots of treasures.
I love your photos enlarged.

hugs
Sissie

I love the "K" and I must say, your styling of everything is fabulous! I am a fan of the bigger pictures, too :-)

Looks like you got some great stuff. I got some 1970's orange stuff for my camper this weekend.

OK, first, how did you get your photos larger? I have tried and tried, but it always crops half of it out. UGH.

I can't believe you actually found a "K". Wait. Scratch that. Yes, I can. You are without a doubt the flea market queen.

I love that real little slate! I'm freaky about liking old schoolish things.
