What a sweet daughter of mine that got out of the van the other day to retrieve a beautiful wooden ladder from a pile of tree limbs, brush and trash.
Why would someone throw something like that away?
Of course, I'm glad it became trash so that it could make it's way to my house.
Isn't she lovely wearing her pretty hostess apron?

What a sweet daughter to be willing to retrieve a treasure for her mom. Yeah! The ladder looks charming! Pam @ Sallygoodin
You were allowed to bring it inside!!! I just picked one up at the weekend, it has made it as far as the garage now! I'm thinking of painting it...(disguise)

She IS lovely! Perfect for that corner!
I don't know why someone would throw out such a ladder with so much patina! I think it looks great in that corner and I can just imagine all the fun you'll have decorating with it!

Lucky you!! What a great find!! I've been wanting to get a weathered ladder to add to my home, too, but haven't found one yet. It looks great in your home. I love the way you feather your nest! :)
Thanks for joining my first Feather Your Nest Thursday's link party. I hope you're having a great day!

Hi Amy,
That's a pretty amazing find! I like it's shabbiness, but I would probably paint it white! LOL

I'll tell you exactly why someone threw it away. It was put there specifically for YOU.
You see the beauty in things that others would throw away. That says something very special about your spirit.
What a treasure.
I love the ladder's party dress and the way you display your pretties.
Ah Amy..your sweet daughter did good! I love how you have it placed! Looks like it was meant to be there all along.
