It was quick, but it was fruitful.
Oh, for more time, and more money budgeted for thrifting...
These were my finds...
Great old toolbox...look at that great color...
Old galvenzied bucket...
2 big Ball jars...
old wooden ladder...
My favorite number 9 metal sign...
Old locker basket with the number 162 (numbers added together equal 9) so cool...
Take another look at my tool box...
I know this would be great outside with flowers in it, but
I would love to do something unexpected with it...
Any suggestions...
Please share your ideas and I'll let you know what I end up doing.
Thanks!!
Linking up tonight over at Rhoda's party. Come on with me to Southern Hospitality.

You must be blessed with number 9!
How about yarn in the tool box? If you use yarn, that is. Or jelly beans? JK..
Thanks for visiting me, so I could visit you! I love the number 9 sign! My 14yo dtr is wanting to redecorate her room using large letters and numbers, so they always catch my eye. Have a great week!
I love all your finds!!! I watched a series of shows this morning on the history channel called, American Pickers! You would probably love that shoe too!

Amy-
Cool Junk! I love that old tool box.
I guess it's too long to go on the back of the toilet (on top of the tank)...full of lotions, soaps, box of tissues...
Outside with something pretty in it would look nice too- but pretty predictable.
Oh, and I like the wire basket and the #9...looks like a gas-station sign number from days gone by,
can't wait to see what you do.
Wonderful finds! They look like they all came out of a magazine!!!!!!
MANY blessings to you,
Lana
Hi Amy,
You found some really great stuff. First of all I love that garden box. I have a thing for wooden boxes anyway and yours has all the wonderful vintage element. If you collect old screwdrivers or oil cans or any type of tools then the box would be great for display. Add a vintage lacey doilie for texture. Or, it would be great for displaying vintage kitchen items with a vintage kitchen towel. There are so many uses for it and I know you will come up with something wonderful.
I like the big number 9 too.
I like finding those little ladders. I always paint them pink or white and sell them in my booth. They go out the door fast. So many uses.
Can't wait to see what you do with your loot.
hugs
Sissie
I can't decide what I love more of your finds -the tool box or the wood ladder. I would recommend you put some flowering plants in the tool box and set it outside. As for the ladder, you best send it to me.. LOL!
Now following your blog and I am even more jealous of your laundry tub!!!
Love the old tool box. Would be wonderful sitting in the middle of a table as the centerpiece, or used for silverware at a buffet, or to hold things in office or craft room. Maybe I can get my husband to make me one. All great finds.Jackie
Wonderful treasures!
I know that you'll find a wonderful and creative purpose for the tool box that's "outside the box". That is clearly your gift.
I'll be waiting to applaud when you do.
Someday, I think I'll blog about the goofy stuff that our GW has to offer. We just never seem to have the great treasures that you find.
Or maybe (probably) it's that I lack your eye for the discovery.
Amy, I love that old tool box, really cute! You'll have to let me know what you do with it. It would be pretty with flowers on a porch.
That tool box is a find. Love the color, can't wait to see what you decide to do with it.
Great finds...my fav is that COOL old tool box! Come by NTT and show all your treasures off!
Blessings,
Linda
I really wanted to go to the flea market this weekend (I live in M'boro and have never been to the Nashville Flea Market!), but I didn't make it! Your post is motivation enough for me NOT to miss it next month!
I would have picked the very same things you did. Great finds!
I love your finds!!! Awesome job!!
Love it all! Would that tool box fit on the back of a toilet? It could hold kleenex and TP?
which just gave me a great idea....thanks!
Rats, cats. I have a little caddy like that, that has been holding plants, and I cleaned it out hoping it would be the perfect size for a box of kleenex and it was just BARELY too small. If I took the tissues out of the box, they would fit...hhhhmmm...
Looks like you found some great items!! Thrifting is so much fun.
I have a giveaway going on right now for a $40 gift card to CSN Stores. Check it out if you have a minute!
Fab finds, Amy! I can't wait to see how you put them to use!!
Wow! I want to come for a flea market visit! Great stuff... trying not to be jealous. ;)
I had a wooden tool box like that that I used on my kitchen counter for utensils. It worked great.
Great finds. I love the ladder the size is perfect.
Ooooh, I'm jealous! Do I need to move...loved every single thing you found!!
How about using the wooden box for summer BBQs, cutlery, napkins, condiments, and a jar of flowers...
Tracey
Your so right...I love your finds...especially love the number 9.
Fabulous finds! I just love the number 9 metal sign!!
